Money Advice Worker (Part Time Staff Position)

Debt and Money Advice has remained one of the two most common issues for which people seek advice and support on from Citizens Advice Edinburgh (CAE).  Although CAE is a predominantly volunteer delivered service, the requirement for a consistent level of case management in some of the more complex debt advice requests and the necessity to meet regulatory standards, has meant that it is valuable for CAE to have a core establishment of paid Money Advisers. 

The post holders will have considerable skills in delivering debt and money advice and in working with clients who are experiencing financial hardship and poverty.  They will also have considerable knowledge and experience of money advice procedures and standards.

We require a receptionist for Monday morning session. Dundas Street is a busy city centre bureau and our Monday morning session is usually very well attended . Our receptionist works with a team of advisers to ensure that clients are seen speedily and to manage expectations around waiting times.  Full training will be given.

Administrator (Full time, 35 hours per week)

Citizens Advice Edinburgh is a growing organisation, with a number of new services about to commence in 2019.  We need a flexible and experienced organisational administrator to join our team, working closely with the Projects Manager and Chief Executive to meet the administrative needs of the organisation. 

A can do attitude, with an ability to work independently and creatively to find solutions is a must.  Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential as is a comprehensive understanding and efficient use of all Microsoft programmes.

You will be joining a team of staff and volunteers who are dedicated to delivering services that help meet the needs of some of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged people in our society and who use their knowledge and expertise to campaign for change and social justice.  As an administrator, you will provide essential support in enabling us to carry out these activities.
